The TGP Science Council is a group of students, each representing a different Home Program, who excel in their scientific research, and are interested in mentoring peers who present their work at council meetings. The goal of the council is twofold: presenters learn how to present their work clearly and confidently to a diverse audience, who are not necessarily a part of their field, mimicking many interview scenarios, while gaining feedback on their work and methods from the council members. For the council members, participation gives students the opportunity to increase their mentoring and reviewing skills, also important skills to highlight for potential careers, while increasing engagement in the TGP community.
